Leaders of QBNFE held today, on Wednesday 21 December 2016 a meeting with the newly appointed Archbishop of the Diocese of Tirana – DurrÎs, Monsignor George Frendo. †They congratulated him for his new†high position in Albania’s main diocese as well as delivered†Christmas greetings.

QBNFE†has a†longstanding friendship and cooperation with Bishop Frendo, with whom they†developed several activities in the field of promoting interfaith dialogue in Albania. Most notable among them is their †first†Symposium held at the University Alexander Xhuvani, with students and professors of the Faculty of history on the “Tradition of Religious Harmony in Elbasan territories”.

During the meeting they exchanged views on the current situation, the role and commitment of our religious communities to†the progress of social life in the country.

Mr. Sokol†Lulgjuraj, the coordinator of QBNFE, †made a brief presentation of the current activities, and planned activities for†2017, while the QBNFE President, Dr. Arben Ramkaj, made an approach for strategy and expansion activity center as well as national level and sought†regional commitment in this direction.

Bishop Frendo commented on, and appreciated the work done so far for the benefit of interfaith harmony and prevention of religious radicalism, and expressed willingness to be involved in supporting and participating in the following activities.

Finally, QBNFE †gave an emblem of Elbasan†as a gift†to Bishop Frendo, †.
