QBNF†with Red Cross Albania, †03 January 2017, in†”Hotel Skampa International Elbasan, with†the presence†of local religious leaders and media, †started a 10 day campaign to raise funds to †aid†for children in Syriathat have been†terrorized by the continuous†fighting.

The co-ordinator of QBNF, Mr. Sokol Lulgjuraj, opened†the campaign by thanking the members of the committee who undertook this interfaith initiative which will †conclude on 14 January at the annual Peace †March with the theme “No Indifference… Yes Solidarity !” The amount collected on behalf†of the Red Cross, opened specially for this campaign, will be declared at the closing and will be transferred†through legal routes to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent. We invite all Albanians to attend, and show their nobility and generosity.

The president of the Albanian Red Cross, Mr. Ylli Alushi, thanked QBNF†for †their initiative and the invitation for cooperation. He promised the maximum effort and †to spread a nationwide campaign, and ensured transparency and security for the entire domicile input labeled “the Help of†Albanian People to Syrian Children “.

Afterwards, the President of QBNF, †Dr. Arben Ramkaj, made a short statement of the reasons that drove†QBNF to take this step, by recalling the serious situation experienced by children there and remembering that generosity shown by others forour people these past 25 years. Through this, we have to prove the the same generosity signs showing gratitude.

Furthermore, parish priest of the Catholic Church Saint Pius X Elbasan, Don Emilio Valente urged all Catholic believers to contribute under this grant opportunities.

Also;†Father George Trebicka, and Dervish Ardit Selmani respectively called the Orthodox and Bektashi†believers nationwide to join the campaign donation.

The first of the series of donations was from the Mufti of Elbasan, Mr. Agim Duka, on behalf of the Muslim community. He donated 500.000†ALL ($ 3,800) and urged his community to continue†donating as much as they can.

An†insurance company, SIGAL, donated 100.000 ALL, under the authority of†the director of Elbasan branch, Mr. Klevis Cullhaj, †who praised the campaign and said that Sigal†cannot be absent in such cases as always.

This campaign was reflected in the media and the sentiment echoed throughout the world media where the most prominent places are following.
