Inter-Religious Collaboration Committee of Elbasan, followed with concern, pity and mercy, the statement of Mr. Nicholl Marku made in the media on April 19, 2016 by the fact that the language used by him was filled with anger, insults and expression at all worthy of a citizen and much more for someone who is presented as the clergyman to preach peace and love.

        The Center of Inter-Religious Collaboration in Elbasan for many years is engaged in enhancing and strengthening the harmony between religious communities in our county, being a promoter and supporter of dialogue between religions to help each other to the benefit of our society, impacting positively resolving the problems encountered between them, over the years, but never and in no way involved or intervened in any of the issues or internal problems of each religious community to respect their freedom and full independence.

        We disagree for any reason and anyone who uses the speech of hate, insult or allusion to violence both inside and outside the religious community, so unanimously we oppose the statements of Mr. Nicholl Marku against Monsignor Anthony, nominated Metropolitan of Elbasan in Orthodox Church, and attacking honorable Representatives of other Religious, because they, with the humility that characterizes and their pastoral, responsibility, responded to the invitation, as did authorities of state, central and local, to be present at the enthronement of Metropolitan of Elbasan, Shpati and Librazhdi Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania, His Grace Andoni.

      On this occasion, we, the members of the Committee of Inter-Religious Collaboration Center in Elbasan express lifted our best wishes for the Enthronement of His Eminence Anthony, as Bishop of Elbasan, Shpati and Librazhdi, the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania, desiring that with humility and dedication to contribute as long and best to the Orthodox community and to all residents of the District of Elbasan.
